Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari and his son Yusuf have visited his farm in Daura, Katsina state.

President Buhari has arrived in his home town for the one-month long Ramadan fast, which started on June 18, Thursday.

Nigeria’s leader travelled in the company of the Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, and other dignitaries. Top figures in Katsina’s political circles and religious leaders were said to have besieged the president’s home to welcome him.

Buhari is a devoted Muslim from Nigeria’s north.
It was reported that the retired general, while announcing his assets, said he had approximately 150 cows.

The president has a very modest residence which is painted white and does not attract much attention.
Yusuf Buhari, the son of the country’s president, appeared in public for the first time a day before his father’s inauguration.

He arrived in the country from the United Kingdom together with his father in the early hours of May 28.
Yusuf bears a striking similarity to his father, and his first appearance broke the hearts of many Nigerian women.
